The working principle of ultrasonic water meter is mainly based on ultrasonic time difference method.
When the ultrasonic water meter is working, a transmitter inside it sends out an ultrasonic signal, which is then propagated through the water running in the pipe. The speed of the water flow will affect the propagation speed of the ultrasonic signal: when the water flow speed is slow, the frequency of the ultrasonic wave remains unchanged; When the water speed is faster, the frequency of the ultrasonic wave will change slightly.
The receiver inside the ultrasonic water meter receives the ultrasonic signal returned from the water flow, and the processor inside the water meter interprets and processes the signal. The processor calculates the frequency change of the ultrasonic wave and converts it into the velocity of the water flow. By measuring the speed of the water flow, the ultrasonic water meter can accurately calculate the water flow through the meter.
This technology has many advantages, such as high measurement accuracy, stable work, not affected by water quality. Because there are no moving parts and choke elements inside, the ultrasonic water meter is not affected by impurities in the water and has a long service life.
